Shri Gyan Chand Khurana
Shri Gyan Chand Khurana was the source and inspiration behind the establishment of this institution.The Shanti Gyan International (Co - Educational) Residential school, will be a senior secondary School to be affiliated to C.B.S.E.Registration for admission starts in the month of December every year for the coming session.
The school is the brain child of Shri Gyan Chand Khurana, who is a successful industrialist, having established the ‘Bobby Soaps’ in Mayapuri, New Delhi. As a business man he has earned a reputation for excellent managerial skills & high ethical values, giving social issues & concerns high priority.
Though hailing from an elite background, Shri Gyan Chand Khurana is out & out a self-made man. With grit, perseverance, business acument & his firm belief in self reliance, he made to the is top-notch Conglomerate, pledged to the service of humanity and with the is high concern for social issues especially in the field of education he has established a number of institution for the benefit of society. In 1989, he endeavoured the Shanti Gyan Niketan, a Primary School, & nurtured it to a Senior Secondary School. He is also the benefactor of Shanti Memorial Charitable Dispensary, to Cater the needs of the poor & needy of the area.
Shri Gyan Chand Khurana is of the conviction that every child has an immense urge to grow & to contribute to the harmonious growth of the society, provided he is given full opportunity particularly in the form of good & meaningful education. A Nation is built in its Educational Institutions The object of teaching a child is to enable him to act independently with confidence and unfold his capabilities to learn with interest.Tests and examination are conducted in order to assess the progress of the child. Stress is laid on giving individual attention to each student for class room study and to complete home work assignment. Each section is of 15-20 students and efforts are made to provide enough stimuli and cultivation of mind and not mere cramming of books for examination.The focus is on enabling the child to develop self learning skills during class room teaching rather than compel a dependence on private tuitions.Innovations are constantly introduced to make the teaching learning process more effective and enjoyable.
